For various reasons, B2B6 was not a big ride in terms of numbers. Life got in the way of life for a few of our potential riders. As well, a major charity ride was cutting across our bows for a couple of days along the route.
But the show had to go on and in doing so we decided upon having a lower key ride for 2016, keeping to now well worn path and continuing with the traditions and customs of The Bridge to Bridge Cycle Charity Ride.
This ride which is by now referred to widely and informally as the 'Peoples Ride' is just that. Our relatively low financial entry requirements and our ability to run it for small numbers on a shoestring basis means that it is an opportunity for the everyday Jane and Joe to get involved.
By the same token, you will probably not find any national celebrities, high level politicians or large corporate CEO's pushing pedals with us and raising a motza for the cause.
However you will make a meaningful contribution to something worthwhile, which in itself is something to be proud of.
Also you will have a lot of fun, which is probably a core tradition of B2B. The pictures below attest that we didn't depart from that tradition in 2016.
